M. Christine McDermott Crandall, 65, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Christine was a pediatric nurse practitioner for many years at Panorama Pediatric Group and spent the remainder of her career at Upstate Medical University Infectious Disease Group. She was member of Most Holy Rosary Church. Christine was predeceased by her loving husband, Gary J. Crandall, father, John R. McDermott, mother-in-law, Iris Beedon, father-in-law, William Crandall, and brother-in-law, William J. Crandall. She is survived by her children; Sarah (Kevin) O’Brien, Elizabeth (David) Lazar, Caitlin C. Crandall, and Matthew (Maggie) Crandall, mother, Janet McDermott, siblings; Jack (Lisa) McDermott, Betsy (Gary) Glath, Susan (Ed) Hanley, Tim (Marilyn) McDermott, Tom (Diane) McDermott, Janet (Joe) Connor, and Peter (Laura) McDermott, 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
