Obituary of Brendan James Charlebois

Brendan James Charlebois, 70, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Brendan graduated from Most Holy Rosary School, class of 1965. He also graduated from Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec and Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. Brendan was an active parishioner of Most Holy Rosary Parish including being a founding member of the Men’s Shelter Sandwich Project. He also was an instructor for the deaconate program of the Diocese of Syracuse. Brendan taught at MHR, CBA, for the SCSD, and retired from the On Campus program at SU. He was a Homebound teacher at the time of his death. Brendan was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Helen Phelan Charlebois, and brother, Philip J. Charlebois. He is survived by sisters, Sr. Helen Ann, IHM - Theresa, Mary (James) Gonnella, and Noreen (David) McIntyre, brother, Edward (Julie) Charlebois, sister-in-law, Patricia Charlebois, aunt, Joan Charlebois, and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM at the church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Most Holy Rosary Phelan-Charlebois Scholarship Fund, 111 Roberts Ave. Syracuse, NY 13207.
