My deepest condolences to Peggy and family. I had the pleasure of knowing Jerry from the time I was 10 years old. He was a kind, thoughtful, generous man with a great sense of humour. He and I had a running joke about telling stories using numbers instead of telling the actual joke. The banter went on for the passed 60 or more years. My most sincere sympathies, Peggy, are with you and your family as you all suffer the loss of this wonderful man, Jerry. The obituary, so beautifully written, paints a true picture of the life of one who lived for his country, his community, his church and especially his family. President Kennedy once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather ask what you can do for your country." We all know now that Jerry did that in spades and more.
