Obituary of John Patrick Spencer

     Sgt. John Patrick Spencer, 70, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 surrounded by his two daughters and first granddaughter.

 

     John was a family man, a hard worker, and extremely dedicated to his children. Most importantly John was a war hero. He was a sniper in the Vietnam War and took great pride in being in the Army. Johns warming smile and contagious laugh will be missed greatly. John has now joined his wife, Anne Spencer. Together they will watch over his two daughters, Maggie Elwood and Kalie Spencer. As well as his two granddaughters, Alexis Proietti and Riley Remillard.

 

     Services will be held Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 5pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue. The Family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 2-5pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Veterans Cemetery on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 12pm.

 

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to his two daughters to help with funeral costs.
