Obituary of Joseph E. Shanahan

Joseph Shanahan, 70, of Canandaigua and formerly of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018.  Joe was a bus driver for Leon Franklin Bus Co. in Syracuse NY and a Marine Corp Veteran from the Vietnam War.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Megan Shanahan.  Joe was survived by his son, Joseph Shanahan, Jr., siblings; Michael, Patricia (Tom) Novak, Mary (Peter) Losurdo, and Kathleen (Philip) Oaten and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
