I worked with Ed for several years in the 70's...it was like working with your brother....he was one in a million and there was nothing he wouldn't do for you and your family...he was just that kind of person.
On behalf of myself and my family I would like to extend our deepest sympathy's to Mark and Karen.
Till we meet again old friend it was an honor and a privilege to have known you and be counted among your friends.....

We just want to say how sorry we are to hear that your Dad, Karen, and Grandpa, Zach and Eddie, has died. He was always "there" for your games and events and always smiling or joking . Although we did not know him very well, it was obvious he took great joy in watching you boys and being with you Karen. It's so hard to lose a parent, and a special friend and Grandpa as well. Please know we are thinking of you and sending love and sympathies to all of you at this sad time. May all your wonderful times together and memories give you peace. God Bless you all.

Eddie was my mentor, my friend and my coworker. He had a light inside of him that made every person that knew him feel like they were family.
He taught so many of the young guys that come into the store. He never backed down from a challenge and would literally give you his last buck if you needed it.
I will never forget what Ed taught me, how he showed compassion as well as a comical bravado. He had some John Wayne , Audie Murphy and Buddy Hackett all rolled into one.
He let us be friends with his kids and grandkids and took every opportunity to make eveyone feel like they were appreciated and respected.
Heaven gained another super star and his legacy remains a little bit in each of us. I had no qualms telling him he was awesome and that I loved him loudly and often.
I will miss our morning talks, the awesome jokes and all of the great times we had at work.
Rest easy ole fella. Love you Eddie.

My condolences to Ed's family. I was fortunate to work over the phone with him at Meier Supply, and especially enjoyed seeing him at the Christmas parties where he always said "let me buy you a drink" (from the open bar!). RIP friend.
