Obituary of Eleanor C. Cherry

Eleanor C. Cherry, 91, of Syracuse passed away at home on February 24, 2019.  Eleanor volunteered for 30 years with Taunton Volunteer F. D. Ladies Auxiliary and was retired from Harry L. Cook’s Dry Cleaners where she worked for 58 years. 

Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Cherry; siblings, Arthur and Earl Theodore, and Doris Cole.  She is survived by her children, Doris Ann Wood and Robert (Patricia) Cherry; grandchildren, John (Christina) Kenefick, Casey (Candice) Harris, and Samantha Cherry, great grandchildren; Robert,
Lucas and Christopher Kenefick, and Paxxton, Zayden and Nevaeh Harris; brother, Paul (Sherry) Theodore and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 9am on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Taunton Memorial Presbyterian Church; 4326 Fay Rd., Syracuse NY 13219.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 15th from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Taunton Memorial Presbyterian Church.
