Obituary of Francis A. Klamm

     Francis A. ‘Sanka’ Klamm, 82 of Liverpool passed away on October 10 after a courageous battle with cancer.

     He grew up on Tipperary Hill, graduating from St. Patrick’s High School.  He served with the U.S. Army in Germany.  He was employed by Western Electric and retired from Niagara Mohawk. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking, his Yankees and especially spending time with family and grandchildren.  

     He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Jane Klamm, and his brother William.

     He is survived by his wife Carol (Williams) Klamm; sons, David of Duluth, GA and Christopher (Christine) of Syracuse; brothers, James and John of Cortland and Robert of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Domenica, Jeremiah, and Dilynn and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday October 15, 2019 at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave.  Calling hours will be held Monday October 14, 2019 from 4-7pm at the Edward J Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave, Syracuse.  Burial will be at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th N St, Liverpool, NY 13088 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
