Obituary of Robert V. Castle

Robert Vincent Castle, 85, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 surrounded by family.  He was a Navy veteran and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. John Willis.  Bob was a systems analyst for Nynex, a hospice volunteer, and a member of the bridge club.  He went to the gym three times a week and was an avid reader.

Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Spain) Castle, second wife, Marlene (Hudson) Castle, parents, Walter and Mary, and brother, Donald.  He is survived by his children; Michael (Leah), Richard, and Sandra (Richard) Newvine, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Jane Bernhard, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse.  Calling hours will be on Thursday, Nov 14, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of CNY; 990 7th N St, Liverpool, NY 13088
