Mary Jane Zory Goodwin, 88, of Tipperary Hill in Syracuse passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was a graduate of Central High School and Crouse School of Nursing. Mary Jane had a real affinity for people and relationships. She enjoyed reading, gardening, antiques, paleontology, collectibles, and time at the seashore. Mary Jane is predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Deborah Goodwin. She is survived by her children; Douglas (Denise), David, Laura (Mike) Murphy, and Gregory (Lisa), brother; Peter Jr. (Barbara) Zory, and a plethora of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home; 3180 Bellevue Ave. Syracuse. Calling hours will be prior from 3 to 6pm. Burial will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. The family would like to thank the staff at Menorah Park for their compassionate care of Mary Jane. Mary Jane’s final selfless act was donating her body to SUNY Upstate. In lieu of flowers, keeping with her spirit and tradition; please give a book to a child and/or donate to Upstate’s Anatomical Gift Program; 750 E. Adams St. WH1133, Syracuse, NY 13210 or a charity of your choice.
