Dick was one of the most wonderful, generous and caring people we have ever met. It was a special pleasure to host him and Mary Beth and the Abbott family at our home for annual Fourth of July parties or for Christmas gatherings where he thoroughly enjoyed having a bourbon (or two). Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mary Beth and the Abbott family during this difficult time and we are sure that if heaven has lakefront like he enjoyed for so many years at Brennan's beach, he's sitting there now watching the sunset over the water with a bourbon in hand and a great smile on his face. Our sincere sympathies to the Abbott Family. While talking to my boys, I had forgotten that your dad was one of Chris first coaches at the West end PBA. My most vivid memory is watching him and Mary Beth work the Fowler casino night at The Moose Club year after year. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
