Obituary of Florence A. Leotta

Florence A. “Cookie” Leotta, 77, of Liverpool passed away peacefully at home on March 29, 2021. Born and raised in Syracuse, she was a graduate of St. Lucy’s School, and was married in St. Lucy’s Church, to the love of her life, Joseph Sr. who passed in 2006.  She enjoyed word search puzzles, music, cooking, baking and her sports. Florence dedicated her life to being a mom and loving wife, and will be missed.

 

Florence is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, mother Florence E. Oleson and brother, Charles.

 

She is survived by her children, Tina and Joe Joe, her siblings,  Mary (Greg) Gardner, Fred Jr. Oleson, and Rosemary “Rosebud” Oleson, her “fur grandbabies,” Patches and Zoey  and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10am at St. Patrick’s St. Brigid’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave.  Friends may call from 9am to 10am prior to church at mass.  Burial will be  in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY

 

In lieu of flowers, may be made to the National Kidney Foundation; 731 James St # 200, Syracuse, NY 13203
