Obituary of Christopher Spain

Christopher Conleth Spain 63, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 8th, 2025. Born on December 24, 1961.

Christopher enjoyed listening to the Rolling Stones and Yankees on the radio - old school, watching Colt’s football and SU sports while having an ice cold PBR. Although he was the only one out of five siblings to be born in the USA, he was very proud of his Irish heritage and was able to visit Ireland several times. He also served as an Alter Boy at St. Brigid’s Church in his youth.

Christopher was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Betty (Westman) of Ireland, sisters, Serena West and Maretta Spain. He is survived by his partner, Teresa Swierk, brothers, Roger (Margo Conroy) and Michael (Theresa Fiedler), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 216 North Lowell Ave., Syracuse. A funeral Mass is to follow at 10am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CNYSPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
