Daniel C. Robb Obituary

Daniel C. Robb Obituary

Daniel C. Robb, 81 of DeWitt NY, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Syracuse, NY, on September 23, 1943, Dan lived a full life marked by laughter, charm, and deep devotion to family and friends, and faith. Dan spent his career in sales, where his gregarious personality and easy sense of humor made him a natural. Whether making a deal or making a new friend, Dan had a knack for leaving people smiling. He had a sharp eye for a dapper outfit, a love for good food (preferably shared with loved ones), and a special talent for the occasional practical joke—always delivered with a twinkle in his eye.

He was lovingly known as “Pop” by his grandchildren—Griffin, Amelia, Cary, Cailey, Liam, Ava, Kaitlyn, and Jack—who brought him endless joy and pride.  Dan was predeceased by his parents, Edward “Ted” and Geraldine “Toots” Robb, and his nephew, Ted Barrett. He is survived by his beloved wife, Johanna; his children, Tom (Gina), Kathleen, and Chris (Kathy); his brothers, Gary (Kathy), Thom (Nancy), and Jim (Anne); and his sisters, Mary and Christine Barrett.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse, NY. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22nd at the Cathedral of the Immaculate

Conception in downtown Syracuse.

Dan’s was a life well lived—with heart, humor, and style. He will be missed, remembered, and celebrated by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Central NY for their committed care, and a special thanks to his fantastic home health aids: Kari, Keke, and Erica.
