It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jennifer E Battista, 50 of Syracuse. Jennifer departed peacefully with her family at her side following a brief, but hard fought battle to an aggressive illness. Born on November 4, 1974 Jennifer was a kind hearted individual who touched the lives of so many people. She graduated from Westhill High School in 1992 then went on and graduated from Cortland State in 1996. During the time spent at those schools, Jenn met many lifelong friends. Jenn went on to take on jobs in banking, insurance and childcare.
Jenn was known for her kindness, beautiful smile and sense of humor. she enjoyed spending time at parties and events with friends and family. Jenn most cherished Holidays and vacations spent with family, planning them out in advance to provide the best and most enjoyable experience for her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving spouse Jeff; three wonderful daughters, Kaylin, Megan and Jackie; siblings, Hiedi Chajka-Dwyer, Lora Chajka-Cadin (Jeff), John Chajka, Margaret Chajka(Pat), Kevin Chajka; parents, Charles and Hellen Chajka. Jennifer also leaves behind her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Claire Battista along with many cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call between 4-7 pm at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave Syracuse, NY 13219 on Friday, August 22, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Saint Charles of Borromeo, 417 S Orchard Rd Syracuse, NY 13219.
