John “Butchy” Blattner, 76, of Syracuse, NY departed this world on September 1, 2025. Jack, a twin, was born September 9, 1948 to the late, Raymond and Marjorie Blattner. He was a graduate of Corcoran and honorably served in the US Navy.  Jack had a long career in the food industry throughout Central New York. He was an avid sports fan, especially Syracuse Basketball.

Jack is predeceased by his parents, and longtime companion, Sue Turo.

He is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Blattner-Bruan, Margo Haberman and twin sister, Judith (Paul) Quattrone, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Pierce and Martha Ryan.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave. Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10am prior to mass. Burial will be private.
