Margaret “Peg” Kogut, 93, of Syracuse, NY passed away on October 9, 2025. Peg retired after many years as the secretary to Senator Martin Auer. In her early years she enjoyed bowling, bingo, casino trips, Thursday Therapy Group and was an avid camper.
Peg is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, George A. Kogut, daughter, Victoria Kozera, parents, Gladys (Barker) and William Wilbur and siblings, Charlie, Mary Wild, and Virginia Flatt.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jacob (Rachel) Kozera, and Rachael (Roger) Coughlin, son-in-law, Donald Kozera, 3 great grandchildren, Madeleine, Landon and Cole all of Massachusetts, God Daughter, Mary Alice (John) Walrath and several nieces and nephews.
At Peg’s request there will be no services. She will be buried with her husband in Onondaga Veteran’s Cemetery.
