Timothy J. Hogan, 62, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on November 7. A native of Syracuse, he grew up on the west side of town and graduated from West Genessee High School. His love of sports included playing and refereeing softball, bowling and golf. He worked at Stroehmann Bakeries for years, which eventually led to him being named Principal Officer of Teamsters local 182 in Utica. After retiring in 2019, Tim was passionate about golf and if he wasn’t working in his yard, he was on a golf course.
Tim is predeceased by his father, John F. Hogan, mother Joanne Hogan Dettor and stepfather Richard Dettor.
Tim leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Karen (Chrismer), sons Jack (John) and Ben Hogan, brothers Pat (Donna); Mike (Claire), sisters Kelly Familo (Joe) and Bridget West; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; his aunt, Marie Cullen, and mentor/friend William (Nibsey) Ryan.
Calling hours will be at Edward J. Ryan Funeral home on Tuesday 11/18 from 3-6pm. Services are 11/19 at Pope John Xxiii Church, Liverpool, at 10 am.
