Patricia (Tom) Riley, 66, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025 with her family by her side at Upstate University Hospital. Patti was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. She retired from Price Chopper as a Customer Service Manager after 31 years by her 50th birthday. She returned to work at Berkshire Bank for a number of years. Patti had the most infectious laugh and a wonderful personality. She loved playing golf in the “Wild Women” golf league for decades. She and her husband, Bob enjoyed their winters in Florida watching their granddaughter grow.

Patti is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Catherine Tom.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Riley, sister, Cindy (David) Guertin, sisters-in-law, Cindi Catanio and Debbie Chew of Galloway, New Jersey, stepson, Adam (Araya) and granddaughter, Leyna of Punta Gorda, Florida, stepson, Andrew of Rochester, many nieces and nephews, Patti’s Aunt Roz Bufano and several cousins. 

Calling hours will be held at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19th from 1:00 – 4:00pm. There will be a prayer service immediately following at 4:00. Burial will be private. 

A special thank you to the Nurses and Doctors on the 7th and 9th floors at Upstate Hospital for their compassion during this difficult time.
