George E. Sears Obituary

George E. Sears, 88, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025. George began work life at General Electric and retired 40 years later from Lockheed-Martin. George was a quiet man, noted for his sharp wit, one liners and sense of humor.


He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mildred Sears, sisters, Marjorie (Albert) Groboske, and Esther (Pat) Verrioli, sister-in-law, Rosamond Bennati, and son-in-law Timothy Delia.


George is survived by his wife, Lucille A. Sears, and children, Michelle Delia and Thomas Sears, 2 grandchildren, George Delia of Syracuse, and Jonathan Sears of California, brother-in-law, Eugene Bennati, and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 12pm at Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. An hour of calling hours will be held immediately prior to the service at the funeral home from 11am to 12pm. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery.
