Roxanne I. Snyder, 74 of Jamesville passed away on December 26, 2025 after a brief illness. Roxanne was cherished by her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed. Roxanne was born on July 7th, 1951, to Blanche and Earl Young in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from Corcoran High School and Powelson Business School. She worked for many years at Kemper Insurance Company in Syracuse. In 1997, Roxanne took a position as secretary in the guidance office at Bishop Ludden school. She retired in 2016.

Roxanne was a passionate horsewoman. Roxanne loved to ride and show her Pinto horses. She especially enjoyed competing with horse friends at venues near and far. She was a member of the NYS Pinto Horse Association for many years. Roxanne enjoyed sharing her equine knowledge with others. Many central NY horse professionals learned about horse care and basic riding skills from Roxanne. In later years, Roxanne pivoted her focus to adults who wanted to learn how to ride in mid-life. She imparted her horse knowledge to many adults who always wanted to ride horses. She created a social circle with her students (young and old) that continued to the end of her life. Roxanne also had a love of small furry creatures, specifically cats and ferrets. Roxanne loved to travel and would on occasion return home not only with great memories but also with a new kitten or ferret.

Roxanne was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Ned who passed away in 2024. Ned adored Roxanne. She is also predeceased by her parents. Roxanne is survived by her brother Daniel (Janel) of Rochester, NY, Uncle Ray Young (Nancy) of Lafyette, many cousins and beloved cats Pandora and Pascal. Roxanne also leaves many close friends who will deeply miss her. Special thanks Mary Lou, Buzz and her cousin Barbara who helped her navigate this part of her journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
