Jan reminded me of the following. When she and I first got together, Dan and I (and many others from the southwest side) were playing softball together. Jan was an outsider, didn't grow up with our crowd, and went to these softball games alone. Diane made it a point to seek her out and hang with her, a gesture my wife never forgot. We are both heartbroken, and praying for your peace.

My deepest condolences to Dianne’s family. A memory I would like to share about Dianne’s love & kindness for animals & birds. Dianne had a following of birds, at least 30 pigeons and a few sparrows and 2 squirrels outside the PBS, where she worked. During her breaks she would fed them, once saying they are God’s creatures and need love to. So right & kind. When ever going on or leaving work, I look up at the building and see 30 pigeons perched waiting for Dianne. A few times I would have a pigeon on my car hood or sunroof and would laugh, saying I am not Dianne little buddy.
Since Wednesday afternoon I have not seen one bird perched or on the ground. Almost like they know we have all lost a kind, gentle & loving soul and heaven has gained our loss. Her acts of kindness with animals, bird and people will be truly missed. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk besides us everyday.”

the last time I saw Diane was at a wedding where she was so loving to me and my mother. It touched my heart. She took our picture and made sure to send it to me. It was a lovely thing to do. We are saddened to hear of her passing. Our prayers are with Danny and Tim and Robin and her entire family. Beth and Bob Keeley
