Mary R. Morley, 85, of Syracuse, NY passed away Friday July 14, 2023.

She was born in Batavia, NY on July 29, 1938 to the late Charlie and Betty Ortner. Mary was a graduate of Mercy Nursing Hospital before going onto a career as a registered nurse, Nursing instructor and Home Health Aide. She also worked for the Onondaga County Board of Elections and volunteered at The Francis House and provided Pastoral care.

Mary was a member at Bellevue country club and was an active parishioner with the St. Charles-St. Ann's Parish.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Morley and sister, Susan Bradley.

Mary loved gardening, excelled at cooking and was an avid traveler and bird lover.

Mary is survived by her children, John (Tracey) Krell, Jr., Matthew (Diana) Krell, Andrew Krell and Allison (Bill) Folket, brother, Charlie Ortner, sisters, Sally Wilkinson and Liz (Roger) Popp, 4 grandchildren and 2 great Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday August 11, 2023 at 11am at St. Charles Church, Westvale. A calling hour will be held from 9-11 am prior to mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syracuse, NY 13208.
