I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost someone dear to me some years ago and what brings me comfort during those especially hard days is to realize that death is a temporary enemy (John 5:28,29). So although your time with Richard was cut short, you can have the hope of being reunited with him forever under perfect circumstances here on Earth (Revelation 21:4). In the meantime, even though the pain may at times seem too great to overcome, please know that Jehovah God will give you the strength necessary to endure (Psalm 94:17-19). Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences.

Marie were saddened to hear of Rich's passing. Both professionally and socially I would regard Rich as one of the most outstanding people I had the pleasure to know. He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary and Family,
Dick Walsh was among the most competent and professional police officers I met during my years covering crime for The Post-Standard. There was a reason very few people got away with murder in the City of Syracuse when Dick was the captain of CID. Hugs to the captain's family.

I had the pleasure of working under Capt. Walsh's command in CID/SPD. He is a true leader and role model for other cops to follow. His knowledge of police activities and bad guys was unparalleled. My deepest condolences to the Walsh family. A true loss of a great man.
