Obituary of Fuad N. Hodge

Fuad "Fred" N. Hodge, 86, of Onondaga Hill, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday. He was born in Haifa, Palestine and was the former owner of Fairmount Liquor Store, before he retired. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Fuad was a pillar of St. Elias Church where he served on the board for many years and was instrumental in helping build the foundation of the church. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Evon Jadon Hodge, daughters Victoria Hodge, Mona Gantos, and Gigi (Michael) Hotaling. Grandchildren Jessica O'Connor & John Mitrzyk, Peter & Matthew Gantos, and Alecs & Christian Hotaling; and one great grandson, Parker O'Connor. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 20th, 4-7pm at St. Elias Orthodox Church at 4988 Onondaga Rd. Services will be Thursday, July 21st at 11am at the Church. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. Elias Endowment Fund.
