Obituary of Thomas J. McCarthy

Thomas J. McCarthy of Tipp Hill passed away at home on Thursday, October 2nd. Tom was an auto body mechanic who worked in the family business at McCarthy's Collision Service in Camillus and then moved on to Centro Bus Garage where he worked for several years. Tom loved sports, SU and followed the Jets and Yankees with great enthusiasm. Tom also had a great love for music and played the drums for several bands throughout his earlier years. Surviving are his mother, Angela McCarthy, Father , Thomas McCarthy, sister, Lisa McCarthy Tamilia, (husband) Michael , brother, Timothy McCarthy (wife) Christee, ex-wife Angela D'Amico, sons, Sonny & Sam McCarthy & significant partner for many years Deborah Karner. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward J Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a. m. at St. Patricks Church, Tipp Hill, Syracuse. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
