Josephine "Pat" Ozga, 94, of Camillus died peacefully Friday, February 20, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, Pat was the eighth of ten children. She was a dedicated, life-long Catholic whose faith was cultivated by her Polish immigrant parents, Stanley and Anna Czarny, and the priests and Felician Sisters of Sacred Heart Church on the west side of Syracuse. Pat was married for 23 years to Andrew Ozga and had one son, Patrick. She retired in 1982 from Marsh & McLennan Companies. Pat was pre-deceased by her husband, Andy, in 1963, her son, "Rick," in 2002 and sisters Mary Bartkowiak, Anna Smilgin, Veronica Pasco, Helen Chrust, and Stella Witczak, and brothers John, Walter, and Edward Czarny. Pat is survived by her sister, Jane Krisak, of Camillus and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great, grand nieces and nephews. The family is very grateful for the care and compassionate support Pat received in her final illness by the staff and volunteers of Upstate Medical University Hospital – Community Campus, and St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. The Funeral Mass for Pat will be celebrated at 11am Monday, February 23 at the Church of St. Michael & St. Peter, Onondaga Hill. Friends and family may gather at the church between 10am and 11am on Monday, February 23. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted for the Basilica of the Sacred Heart – Food Pantry.
