Ellen (Ditch) Hermann, 70, passed away on Nov 7th after a long illness. Ellen was born in Syracuse and graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School. Ellen is predeceased by her husband Warren (Mickey) Hermann, long time companion Paul Spencer, Parents Harry & Anna Marie Ditch and a sister Mary (Ditch) Shepard. She is survived by her brother Harry "Tom" Ditch (Marcia) of Onondaga Hill, sister Linda of Syracuse, brother-in-law Steven Shepard of Riverside, CT, step-sons Spencer and Sander Hermann, niece Andrea (Ditch)Holbok, nephews Tommy Ditch and Kyle, Rory & Shea Shepard. She spent most of her adult life in Jacksonville, Florida where she had a successful career in sales and marketing for Sunrise Publications. Ellen was also self-employed as an Avon representative for several years. She enjoyed gardening, baking and loved prepping for all holidays, especially Christmas. She was best known for her homemade Cheesecake and Christmas cookies. Services will be held Monday at 12:30pm at St. Joseph's Chapel at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts. The family will receive friends from 12- 12:30 prior to the service. Contributions in Ellen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Kirkpatrick Day Program, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street Syracuse, NY 13204.
