Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Fehr Kompf

Anne Elizabeth Fehr Kompf was born June 29, 1923 the second of three daughters born to Leo and Anna Fehr. Anne was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School. After high school she worked at Syracuse Pottery. She married Donald Kompf on July 13, 1946 and full time motherhood to 8 children soon followed. Anne was active in the Altar and Rosary Society, Mothers Club, Home Bureau and especially enjoyed her monthly gathering of friends "The Club." After her youngest reached school age she began working for the State of New York Departments of Parks and Recreation, retiring from there in 1985.
After retiring she enjoyed taking road trips with her husband and playing bingo. She celebrated her 70th birthday with an Adirondacks trip with her daughters and daughters-in-law and her family had a party for her for her 80th. She loved her grandchildren and was excited to become a great grandmother. She was known for her world class sauerbraten.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Donald and her sister, Jean. She is survived by her sister, Mary Maroney, children, Don (Dotti), Martin (Colleen), Michael (Caroline), and Matthew Kompf , Karen Lewis, Susanne Kompf, Mary (Dan) Bartowski and Lisa Kompf. In addition she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, January 27th at 11:00 am at Most Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
