Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Cuddy

Mary Elizabeth Cuddy, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Edward M. Cuddy, Jr., passed away on the 15th of April, 2014. Her memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, the 3rd of May, 2014, in the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, at 3180 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse, NY, 13219. Interment will be private, at Saint Agnes Cemetery in Syracuse, New York. Mary was born on July 8th, 1923, in Syracuse, New York, daughter of the late Richard O'Brien and Laura Daly. In 1948 she married Edward M. Cuddy, Jr., also of Syracuse, New York. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of Suffren, New York. Mary had a long career in banking, retiring as Assistant Treasurer of Barclay's Bank of New York. She is survived by her children, son, Edward M. Cuddy, III, Esq. and his wife, Patricia of Ramsey, New Jersey, daughter, Dr. Laura M. Cuddy of Suffren, New York, and son, Dr. Brian G. Cuddy, and his wife, Gretchen, of Charleston, South Carolina, as well as six grandchildren, Thomas, Caroline, and Julia Cuddy of Ramsey, New Jersey, and Emma, Maeve, and Ian Cuddy of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by her brother, Richard F. O'Brien of Deland, Florida, and nephew, Timothy O'Brien of Michigan.
