Obituary of John P. "Jack" O'Hern

Jack would like to announce his change of address to St. Mary's, Lot 1138, Section 82, under the big oak tree. He died peacefully at home on 5/7/2014 with the Yankees on TV in the background. He previously lived in Syracuse and had moved to Old Forge, NY in 1999. He was an electrician with the IBEW, Local 43. He was a member of the Old Rascals. He served in the US Army in Korea (but we don't talk about that). He was predeceased by his wife, Pat and son-in-law, Chuck. He is survived by his 5 children, Patrick (Nanette) of Syracuse; Michael (John Heck) of Phoenix, AZ; Kevin (Jen Pauley) of Syracuse; Eileen Ternosky (Patrick); and Kelly Hamlin of Old Forge; his sister, Marion Tickner; his 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be 10am Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial (see above). Calling hours will be 4-7pm Monday at Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 2180 Bellevue Ave. In lieu of flowers , contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208
