Obituary of Gerald L. (Jerry) Kilmartin Jr.

Born and raised on Tipp Hill in Syracuse, Jerry attended St. Patrick's and St. Ann's Elementary Schools, Bishop Ludden High School and SUNY Oswego. Jerry made NYC his home for the past 37 years where he spent much of his career working at Bryant Park Restaurant. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Mary Kilmartin, Michael and Mary Davern, his parents, Gerald L. Sr. (Benny) and Mary (Davern) Kilmartin, and step mother, Joan (Sullivan) Kilmartin and uncles, Charles, Joseph, Adrian and Robert Kilmartin. Jerry is survived by his brothers, James (Christa) of Cicero, Bill, Ben, and Patrick (Katie) all of Syracuse and Aunt Katherine (Nette) Kilmartin, along with seven nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 9:30am at St. Patrick's Church, Syracuse. The family will receive friends from 8:30am- 9:30am at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of CNY, 731 James St. Ste 200, Syracuse, NY 13203.
