Albert E. (Al) Taylor passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, August 5, at Loretto, after a short illness. Al was predeceased by his wife, Jane and his mother, Mary and father, Frank, and a twin sister, Patricia. He is survived by two sons, Bill and Fr. Mike Taylor O.F.M Conv., his daughter-in-law, Kristi (Monson), and granddaughter, Shelby. Al retired from the Syracuse Fire Department in 1973, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and summers at his camp in Sandy Pond. Al was a member of St. Michael's and St. Peter's Parish, and was a strong parental figure in his family life. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Valley Dr., Syracuse. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 5pm on Sunday, August 10th at the Edward J.
