Obituary of Sarah Bova Read

Sarah "Sally" Bova Read 79, of Syracuse died Saturday at Community Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and lived here most of her life. Sally was a homemaker, and a communicant of St Patrick's Church Syracuse. She was predeceased by her parents; Michael J. and Josephine B. Bova, sisters; Rosemary and Joanne and her brothers Michael, Richard B., James, and John J. Bova. Sally is survived by her husband of 58 years, William S Read, her sons Michael F.(Joan), William D. (Sherrie), Timothy J., Patrick S. (Natalaya), her daughters Mary Petrocci (Mark), Kathleen Halpin (Michael), Joanne Oram (Richard), Margaret Williams, and Sarah Tofani (Jeffrey). 18 great grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother Daniel D. Bova and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, August 20th at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, Syracuse. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday August 19th from 4-7pm at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 216 N.
