Obituary of Irene Reynolds Shanahan

Irene Reynolds Shanahan, 95, of Syracuse died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. Camillus. Irene was born in Buffalo but resided in Syracuse most of her life. She worked at E.W. Edwards and Son Department Store and then at St. Camillus. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward and granddaughter, Megan. She is survived by her children, Michael J. (Arlene), Mary Losurdo (Peter), Patricia Novak (Thomas), Joseph and Kathleen Oaten (Phillip), 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, Sept. 8th at 12pm at St. James Church, S. Salina St. Calling hours will be on Saturday, Sept. 6th from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
