Obituary of Mary Agnes (Keohane) Centore

Mary Agnes (Keohane) Centore, born in 1924, who had a great zest for life and an unwavering faith in God passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 5th. Born in Syracuse, New York, graduated from Most Holy Rosary School and business school. She was a former member of Pine Grove Tennis Club and Ocean Palm Golf Club, a volunteer at Sarah House, a member of the Vincent House Guild, the Rosarian Quilting group, and the Nocturnal Adoration Society. She was an officer in Most Holy Rosary Mothers Club, and also a member of MHR Senior Club. She was also a member of the Strathmore Book Club and an election inspector for 25 years. She is survived by her husband Tom of 66 years, who she referred to as the love of her life, her children Christine Strodel (Neil), Therese Losty (John), Tom (Carol), Eileen Fahey-Wright (Richard), Sheila Centore Wall, Philip, Mark (Susan), Anne Navaroli (Michael), Lisa Goodsell (Edward) and David (Brenda). She is also survived by her 26 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Paul and Ed Keohane and a large extended loving family. She loved her grandchildren all of which she remembered in many ways. She loved traveling; Florida, Cape Cod, Adirondacks, Europe and Hawaii. She enjoyed all the many holidays spent with her family. Mary had a wonderful life raising 10 beautiful children and felt she lived a blessed life. Funeral services will be at 10 am at Most Holy Rosary on Friday. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Most Holy Rosary at 111 Roberts Avenue. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Sarah House, 100 Roberts Ave, Syracuse, NY 13207.
