Obituary of Eldine P (Donk) O'Hern

Eldine P. (Donk) O'Hern, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014. She was born in Savannah, N.Y and graduated from Savannah High School and CCBI. Prior to her retirement she worked as Credit Manager for Sears-Roebuck and for SUNY Research Corp. She was a member of Erwin First United Methodist Church. Eldine is predeceased by her husband, Eugene, in 2000, and sister, Shirley D. Mills in 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Ronald) Scott and Jane O'Hern; grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Scott, Sarah (Eric) Lipsky and Meagan Crowley; brothers, Franklin Donk of Clyde and Norman Donk of Savannah, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse. Services will be private.
