Thomas E. Heaney Jr. (Boom Boom), 58, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday.
Tom attended St Lucy's Academy. He was a United States Army Veteran. Tom was a member of Teamsters Local 317, employed by Syracuse Rigging as a heavy truck parts salesman. He was the owner and operator of Courier 1 Dispatch until his retirement.
Tom will be best known for his love of being a self-taught drummer and instructor for more than 40 years. He spent many of those years with Roosevelt Dean and The Bleach Boys, The Wanderers, and Holy Smoke. Tom took his love for music and showed it by giving much of his time planning fundraisers and benefits.
