Obituary of Barbara Conley Burke

Barbara Conley Burke, 76, of Onondaga Hill passed away on August 9, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, and a member of Saint Michael and Saint Peter Parish on Onondaga Hill. She graduated from Central High School and LeMoyne College. Barbara taught at LeMoyne Elementary School, retiring after 27 years with the City of Syracuse School District. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, John and Ruth Conley. She is survived by her children, Bill (Kathy) Burke of Baldwinsville, Linda Burke of Syracuse, Bob (Betsy) Burke of West Chester, PA, and Pat (Young Joo) of Busan South Korea, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Church of St. Michael and St. Peter, Onondaga Hill. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7pm on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse. Entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Haiti Committee of the Church of St. Michael and St. Peter, 4782 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215.
