Obituary of George J. Marleau

George J. Marleau, 66, of Syracuse was promoted to glory Sunday. He faithfully served the Lord for 42 years. George attended Living Word Church, was an avid Yankee fan, former bowler, Patricians City Hockey League goalie, Boy Scout Leader, LWC Sportsman Club and overseer of Syracuse peregrine falcons. He graduated from Lake George high School and attended Clarkson College. George retired from NYS DOT and Cardno, Inc. George is predeceased by his parents, Thomas J. and Helen (Brownell) Marleau. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Wichert); son, Thomas; daughter, Renee; grandchildren, Sean and Phoebe; brothers, Joel (Patricia) and Jude; sisters, Johann (Michael) Jones, Genny (Ken) Orbon, and Theresa (Paul) Oderman, along with several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 4 to 6pm with a service following at 6pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be private.
