Obituary of James Patrick Conroy

James Patrick Conroy, 82, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 5th. Born on March 8, 1934, he was the youngest son of Myrtle and John Conroy. Jim was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Quinn in 2002, and his brother, John "Jack" Conroy that same year. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Arlene, his sister, Catherine Spinoso of Syracuse, son, Michael (Patricia) of Camillus, son-in-law, Robert Quinn of Baldwinsville and three grandchildren, Shannon Quinn, Nathan Conroy, and Benjamin Conroy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly.
Jim worked for the railroad for 43 years as a clerk and yardmaster. He was a people person and continued to make new friends throughout his life. He became very close to the people and staff at his dialysis center in Liverpool. Jim's passions were playing golf and fishing with his friends. He was a dedicated Yankees fan and enjoyed the casino in his later years.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10am at St. Brigid's Church, 318 Herkimer St. There will be no calling hours.
