Obituary of Bruno "Joe" Serrao

Bruno "Joe" Serrao, 80, of Syracuse passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Joe worked for 23 years with SCSD at Charles Andrews, HW Smith and Shea. He was a lifelong parishioner of Most Holy Rosary and worked at A&P, Eboney and P&C food markets. He served in the Army for 4 years. Joe is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Pauline (Sanborn), his children, Theresa, Sheila (Sheila), Thomas (Barbi), John (Tammy), Paul (Sue), Mike (Tina) and Joe (Lisa), 22 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his sibilings, Dominick (Mary) in Liverpool, NY, and Al (Mimi) in Plano, TX and multiple nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse, NY 13207. Calling hours will be held at the church on Monday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Howlett Hill Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to MHR Church or MHR Food pantry.
