James F. Reese Sr., 86, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2016 surrounded by family at the home of his daughter, Robin in Tomball, Texas. Jim was born in Syracuse, NY (Tipp Hill) and attended St. Patrick's School. Jim served in the army during the Korean War. He retired from Western Electric after 30 years of service; he also worked for Dorn's Transportation for 10 years. Jim loved the outdoors and camping with family and friends. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Muriel in 1995 and his daughter, Deborah in 1999. Surviving are his sons, James Jr. (Linda), John and David, daughter, Robin (Gary) Gianni, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Patrick's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7pm on Thursday at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be Onondaga Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
