Obituary of Patrick Lowery Coggins

Patrick Lowery Coggins, 27, passed away after a gracious battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Patrick was a graduate of Westhill High School and Edinboro University and was working for the Syracuse Chiefs in the Communications Dept. As an avid sports fan, Patrick participated on CNY United, a local wheelchair soccer league and could often be found at the Carrier Dome or Ralph Wilson Stadium supporting his favorite teams. Patrick leaves behind a legacy of dignity and courage that will continue to impact all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Marnie Lowery Coggins, his father, Norbert J. Coggins, his sister, Elizabeth, grandparents, Maureen and Francis P. Lowery (dec.) and Norbert J. and Joan Coggins, many aunts, uncles and cousins, so many best friends and teammates. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at The Church of St. Michael and St. Peter, 4782 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations can be made to CNY United c/o Champions for Life; 453 Grant Avenue Rd. Auburn, NY 13021
