Grace Dixon Schoff, 91, of Syracuse, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at Loretto on Sunday, March 5, 2017 with her family by her side. Grace was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. She was born on March 23, 1925 to Lillian and Michael Dixon. She worked at Nojaim Bros. for over 20 years. Grace was predeceased by her husband, William; brother, William Dixon; sister-in-law Barbara Dixon; and son-in-law, Gary Nemeth. She is survived by daughters, Susan Nemeth, Sharon (Paul) John, Joan (Jay) Colabufo, and Linda Schoff; son, Michael (Jean) Schoff; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Dixon and Eleanor (Harry) Burns and 2 brothers, Robert (Nancy) Dixon and Patrick Dixon and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass for Grace will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10am at St. Patrick's Church, Syracuse. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 9, from 4 to 7 pm at Edward J. Ryan Funeral home. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff at Loretto Cunningham, especially Cheryl and Lena, for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Loretto Health & Rehab Center, Cunningham Building, 700 East Brighton Avenue, Syracuse, NY, 13205.
