Obituary of Mary Jane (Buonvecchio) May

Mary Jane (Buonvecchio) May, 94, passed away on Sunday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She was born and raised in the Syracuse area. She worked at Unity Mutual Life Insurance Company for twenty years and worked for ten years at the Onondaga County Dental Clinic. During World War II, before her marriage, she worked for the Department of the Navy. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert J. May. She is survived by a son, Robert (Linda) May, Jr. of Taunton; a daughter, Marianne (Jack) Haynes of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Cathleen, Michael and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Fiona, Madeline, Elodie and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were private. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery, Dewitt.
