Obituary of Margaret C. Dolan

Margaret "Peg" Dolan, 85, of Sarasota, FL, went to the Lord Jesus on Monday, July 6, 2015 at home surrounded by family. Peg was born in Syracuse to John and Marion (Roberts) Corbett. She grew up on Tipperary Hill and graduated from St. Patrick's high school. Peg was a member of the first class of Le Moyne College. Peg enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was an excellent cook and followed Julia Child long before cooking shows became popular on television. Modest about her bridge skills, Peg was a sought after partner. She was a sports fan, from golf to baseball and everything in between. Her parents, and her former son-in-law Gary Gosson predeceased Peg. Peg's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Vincent, her children, Ann (Joe) O'Hara, Martha (John O'Callahan) of VT, Mary Gosson, Vincent (Karen Reardon) of NH, and Matthew of FL. Peg dearly loved her grandchildren Erin (Rainer) Schmid of Austria, Mary Margaret (Ander) de la Fuente, Mike (Stacey) O'Hara of VA, Patrick O'Hara of TX, Grace Gosson of NYC, Molly and Gus Gosson; and great grandchildren Lilly and Colin O'Hara and Max Schmid. She also leaves behind her best friend and sister, Mary Jane (Kevin) Voll of NC, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Most Holy Rosary church, Syracuse. Calling hours 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Edward J. Ryan funeral home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Peg to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
