Obituary of Gary M. Murphy

Gary Murphy, 66, passed away with his loved ones at his side on July 27.  He was born in Auburn, NY, and lived most of his life in the Syracuse area.  He graduated from Onondaga Central Schools.   He was employed by WF Saunders and later retired from the Town of Onondaga highway department. 

Gary is pre-deceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Murphy.  Left to cherish his memory are his children, Maggie (Matt) Winter and James Murphy; his sweet granddaughter, Lillian Winter; his girlfriend, Pamela Olkowski; his ex-wife Barbara Murphy; siblings, Deborah Neuman, James, and John Murphy and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, August 2^nd at St. Charles Church, 417 S. Orchard Rd.  Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 1st from 4-7 pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave.  Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
