Obituary of Mary Katherine Stack

Mary Katherine Stack, 60, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 30, 2019.  She graduated from Henninger High School in 1976. Mary was a dedicated food service worker with St. Camillus for 23 years and a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Mary adored her family and loved spoiling her nieces and nephews.  Mary loved all things Irish, especially Irish music.  She had the largest Irish music collection this side of the pond.

Mary will be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, big smile and contagious laugh.

Mary was predeceased by her father, Edward Francis Stack in January 2018.  She is survived by her mother, Mary Teresa Stack; sister, Teresa Stack- Polakiewicz; brother, Thomas E. (Cathy) Stack; sister, Eileen Stack-Corsette (Brian Sankey), brother, James P. Stack; niece, Shannon Corsette (Scott Winters), nephew, Thomas E. Stack, Jr., niece, Marissa Stack, nephew, John J. Polakiewicz, and nephew, Liam Stack and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse, NY 13219.  Burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Loretto Cunningham Floors 4 and 11 for their remarkable care for Mary over the last two years.
