The passing of Dick Case is a loss for Central New York. He was the definition of a “Syracuse Original”. The words from his mind and pen proved that every person has a story worth telling. His columns shined a light on so many and helped capture the richness that is our hometown. As a native son, he had pride in Syracuse, and an appreciation for its people and places. Known to be a kind neighbor, father, and husband, Dick was a true gentleman. He will be missed. And how lucky we were to have had him here. Extending deepest sympathies to Mrs. Case, Beth, Jonathan, and Laurel. Our family will be toasting his memory this Christmas and your family is in our prayers.
